LLM in IEL

The EPLO announces that all academic programs will be conducted in situ at the EPLO premises in Athens, Greece.

The European Public Law Organization (EPLO) Master of Laws in International Economic Law (IEL) responds to an initiative driven by top-notch IEL experts and a robust IEL community to establish a world-class program of excellence and legal education at an outstanding level. Depending from EPLO’s newly established Academy of International Economic Law and Policy (AIELPO), the EPLO LL.M. in IEL is built upon three main pillars on Trade, Investment and Competition, aiming at tackling world economic affairs at the highest possible level, with participants coming from worldwide.

Building on the experience and best practices developed by its coordination team in the decade-long IELPO Program (after hosting 84 nationalities for full-time training in 10 years), this EPLO Academy aims at operating as an international think-tank on international economic law and policy, developing critical and out-of-the-box thinking while empowering its students to become leaders and powerful drivers of change and resilience in their local contexts and in the international arena.

The AIELPO will, inter alia, offer a full-time Master of Laws (LL.M.) program on IEL, an à la carte modality based on the full-time LL.M. program where participants can take specific courses for specialization purposes, with arrangements made with key partners and institutions in order to facilitate a constant flow of professionals for à la carte training. In addition, a modality for tailor-made courses will be available whereby different institutions or programmes can request for specific training to be organized according to their needs. This is particularly important, since the myriad of negotiations (and renegotiations) of trade and investment agreements have led to an increasing need from public and private institutions for key training in order to get ready for the opportunities, threats and challenges that these negotiations would represent.

From young graduates to senior professionals, the EPLO LLM in IEL is open to all prospective students who would like to widen horizons in the intricacies of international economic governance today. The program is therefore attractive to graduates and professionals with background in law, economics, political science, international relations, business, international and European studies and/or related fields and who are interested in legal practice both in national, regional and international bodies; economic diplomacy and public sector consulting.
